About
Cape Mountain runs on the trail network of a headland above the Pacific about 15 miles north of Florence, on the central Oregon coast. The 50K is two laps of the 25K loop, starting and finishing at Horse Creek Campground, and covers 31.2 miles with 6,000 feet of climbing, 3,000 a lap. A 25K and a 10K run the same day.
Daybreak Racing puts it on. The race took 2026 off, saying it was not feasible to produce that year, and returns on June 5, 2027.
Course
Two loops of the same 25K course, so runners pass the start and finish area at halfway. The finish closes at 4:30 p.m., eight and a half hours after the start.
How to register
Open sign-up on UltraSignup, with no lottery and no qualifying standard. Entry for 2027 opens on UltraSignup at 6:00 a.m. Pacific on December 15, 2026.
