A 100-mile lollipop loop around Mt. Hood from Mt. Hood Meadows: 100 miles with 17,300 feet of climbing, run each summer by Daybreak Racing.

Rerouted before the start for the Grasshopper Fire and the Forest Service closure order that followed: seven clockwise loops inside the Mt. Hood Meadows ski area, 100.6 miles with about 20,000 feet of climbing and a 35-hour limit rather than the regular course's 34. Smoke from the same fire then halted the race at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, with the runners still out stopped at the aid stations.

About
The Hood Hundred tours the trails around Mt. Hood on a crew-accessible lollipop loop out of the Mt. Hood Meadows ski area, taking in some of the mountain's most scenic terrain. Daybreak Racing, which also puts on Gorge Waterfalls, runs it. The course covers 100 miles with 17,300 feet of climbing and the same in descent.
The race starts at 5:00 a.m. from the Mt. Hood Meadows Sun Deck and holds a 34-hour cutoff. Young but already drawing large fields, it counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
