About

The Waldo 100K starts in the dark at Willamette Pass Ski Area, 5,120 feet up in the Oregon Cascades southeast of Eugene, and climbs over Fuji Mountain, The Twins, and Maiden Peak, its 7,818-foot high point, on a course that skirts the shore of Waldo Lake. It has run since 2002, and its name plays on the lake and on the hunt for high points along the way.

The race starts at 4:00 a.m. and holds an 18-hour cutoff, so a finish before 10:00 p.m. earns the finisher's hat. Entry is by lottery, and a finish counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
