About
Wildstrubel by UTMB runs its ultras around the Wildstrubel massif and the Plaine Morte glacier in the second week of September, and every one of them finishes in Crans-Montana. The Wild 110 leaves Crans-Montana at 10:30 p.m. on the Friday for a 113 km loop with 6,600 m of climbing over the Gemmi and Rawyl passes, on a 30-hour limit. The Wild 70 starts in Kandersteg on the Friday morning and crosses the Gemmi to the finish, and the Wild 55, new for 2026, starts in Adelboden on the Saturday morning.
Entry is a direct sale on the race's own site, with no lottery and no waiting list, and runners holding a UTMB Index get a two-day head start each November. All three ultras sold out for 2026. A Wild 110 finish counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
Course
The Wild 110 is a full loop of the massif from Crans-Montana: over the Gemmi pass to Kandersteg, back over the Rawyl and along the Via Alpina to the finish, with checkpoint cutoffs from Leukerbad onwards. The Wild 70 covers the second half of that loop from Kandersteg, and the Wild 55 comes in from Adelboden. All three finish in Crans-Montana.
How to register
Entry is a direct sale on the race's site, with no lottery and no waiting list. Registration for the following year opens in November, to UTMB Index holders for the first 48 hours and then to everyone until the races sell out. All three 2026 ultras are sold out.
