About
Malaysia Ultra-Trail by UTMB runs out of Taiping in Perak, on the hill trails above the town, in September. The MY100 starts in the centre of Taiping at 3 a.m. on the Saturday and covers 97.7 km with 4,802 m of climbing on a 32-hour limit; the MY50 starts from Jalan Kota at 5 a.m. the same morning on a course new for 2026. Both finish in the town.
Entry is a direct sale on the race's site, with a two-day priority window for UTMB Index holders when registration opens in November, and both ultras were still open a week out from the 2026 race. An MY100 finish inside 26 hours counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
Course
The MY100 starts in central Taiping at 3 a.m. Saturday and finishes by 11 a.m. Sunday, its 32-hour limit; the MY50, on a new and lower course for 2026 that passes through the old KTM railway tunnel, starts from Jalan Kota at 5 a.m. Saturday and closes at 10 p.m. the same day.
How to register
Entry is a direct sale on the race's site: UTMB Index holders get a 48-hour priority window when registration opens in late November, then general entries open until the races fill. The 2026 ultras were still open in September.
