How it went
Gian Marchet Schicktanz, who won the Wild 70 a year ago, won the Wild 110 in 12:00:00, 10:34 ahead of Andreas Reiterer, with Charles Van Tiggelen third in 12:27:50. Schicktanz was first through every checkpoint from the Gemmipass, 27 kilometers in, to the finish in Crans-Montana, and Reiterer was second at each of them. Agnieszka Dygacz won the women's Wild 110 in 14:44:43, 17:32 ahead of Magali Mellon, with Marjo Liikanen third in 16:08:31. 885 of the Wild 110's 1,165 starters finished; ten of them carried one-hour penalties, none on either podium.
Dimitri Morel-Jean won the men's Wild 70 in 7:08:38, 1:16 ahead of Karol Matyssek, with Thibaut Garrivier third in 7:10:52. Agathe Bes won the women's race in 8:07:10, 5:37 ahead of Alexandra Cassan-Ferrier, with Lucille Germain third in 8:23:28.
Four men ran together at the front for most of the day, and only twenty-two seconds separated them through Adelboden, 18 kilometers in. Garrivier was first through the Cabane Wildstrubel and first into the Barrage de Tseuzier with about 11 kilometers to go. Morel-Jean reached the dam third, 2:13 behind him, and finished 2:14 ahead of him in Crans-Montana.
Bes and Cassan-Ferrier went through Lenk, 36 kilometers in, one second apart. Bes was ahead of her at every checkpoint from Iffigenalp on and reached the Barrage de Tseuzier six minutes clear.
825 of the Wild 70's 901 starters reached Crans-Montana. More than twenty of them were given one-hour penalties for incomplete mandatory kit, none of them on either podium.
On the new Wild 55 from Adelboden on Saturday, Elhousine Elazzaoui won in 4:49:05, 22 seconds ahead of Tibère Debizet, with Gaspard Ravaux-Ouvray third in 4:55:20. Julie Lelong won the women's race in 5:41:24, with Rea Iseli second in 5:50:43 and Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet third in 5:56:45.
