About
The OCC runs from Orsières in the Swiss Valais up through Champex-Lac and along the final third of the UTMB course to Chamonix: about 60 kilometers with 3,500 meters of climbing. The 2026 route reworks the upper section with a new passage between Col de Balme and Col des Posettes, topping out at 2,321 meters.
As the shortest of the three headline races of UTMB week, it draws the fastest single-day mountain-running field of the season.
Course
From Orsières in the Swiss Valais up through Champex-Lac and onto the final third of the UTMB course: fast, runnable climbing with the descents into Trient, Vallorcine, and Chamonix.
