OCC 2026

Frédéric Tranchand won the 2026 OCC in 5:10:08, four minutes and twenty-nine seconds clear of Nashon Kiplimo. Miguel Benitez was third in 5:17:43. Lauren Gregory won the women's race in 6:08:07, three seconds ahead of Naomi Lang, with Sara Alonso third in 6:09:11.

Tranchand, Kiplimo and Rémi Bonnet were level through Champex-Lac at 7.3 km, all three timed at 8:52 a.m. They were not level at La Giète, 18.8 km in: Tranchand through at 9:50, Kiplimo at 9:54, Bonnet at 9:57. Bonnet has no checkpoint recorded after that one, and he is marked withdrawn. Tranchand was ahead of Kiplimo at every checkpoint that followed, 10:10 against 10:16 at Trient, 11:18 against 11:26 at the Col de Balme, 11:58 against 12:07 at Vallorcine, 12:38 against 12:45 at Argentière, and into Chamonix at 1:25 p.m.

The women's race turned in the last 10.9 kilometers. Lang was ahead of Gregory at every checkpoint from La Giète to Argentière: 10:07 against 10:08, 10:30 against 10:32, 11:54 against 11:58 at the Col de Balme, 12:43 against 12:46 at Vallorcine, 13:30 against 13:32 at Argentière. Both were timed into Chamonix at 2:23 p.m., and the three seconds between their official times went to Gregory.

Two of the three highest-ranked men on the race's own 50K index list did not finish: Bonnet, and Daniel Pattis, who was fourteenth through Vallorcine at 41.1 km with nothing recorded after it. Petter Engdahl came through the Col de Balme at 11:53 and Vallorcine at 13:13, an hour and twenty minutes for 7.6 kilometers that took Tranchand forty, and finished 110th in 7:03:04. Judith Wyder, who headed the women's list and had finished second in each of the last two OCCs, was sixth in 6:28:44. Laura Hottenrott's last recorded checkpoint is the Col de Balme and Malen Osa Ansa's is La Giète.

Six of the first thirteen men were stopped at Argentière, the last aid station: Francesco Puppi and Alain Santamaría for three minutes, Dawid Malina, Luca Del Pero, Anton Gustafsson and Sylvain Cachard for less. iRunFar and Trail Runner both reported five-minute penalties for shortcutting on the descent into Trient, announced on UTMB's live broadcast, and UTMB has published nothing about it. Santamaría was fifth anyway.

1,563 of the 1,945 starters finished before the course closed at 11:30 p.m., which is 80 percent of the field. Of the 382 who left the course, the two checkpoints that took the most were the Col de Balme, with 142, and Trient, with 114.
