About
Xtrail Kenting by UTMB runs on the Hengchun Peninsula at the southern tip of Taiwan, where coral reefs rise into limestone plateaus. The route links Kenting's beaches with open grassland, forest, river valleys, stony riverbeds and gorges cut through coral limestone, and the 100K crosses open ground where the Luoshan wind whips through. Both ultras start and finish at Howard Beach Resort Kenting.
The 100K covers 98 km with 3,291 m of climbing and starts at 4 a.m. on the Saturday with a 24-hour limit. The 50K starts at 5:30 a.m. and runs out to Xiaobaiyue, a peak at the island's southern edge with the ocean on three sides. 2026 was the first edition under the UTMB name.
Course
The 100K's start line closes at 4:45 a.m., 45 minutes after the start, and its finish closes at 4 a.m. Sunday on the race's time chart; the event schedule prints the 100K cutoff at 4:15 a.m. The 50K's terrain mixes technical root systems, uneven riverbeds, loose gravel and grassland. The weekend's 25K and 10K are shorter than an ultra. The 2026 edition started and finished at the Kenting Youth Activity Center.
