A UTMB World Series weekend in the Coastal Range above Valdivia, Chile, each June, billed as the country's only winter race: the 101 km Pilolcura 100K and the 65 km Oncol 65K, both from Punucapa to Valdivia.

About
Torrencial calls itself the only winter race in Chile, and it had ten years behind it when it joined the UTMB World Series. Its two ultras start at Punucapa and finish in the city of Valdivia. The Pilolcura 100K starts at 10 p.m. and covers 101 km with 4,100 m of climbing on a 22-hour limit. It runs rocky, slippery trails across the Coastal Range from Oncol Hill to the Pacific coast and back into Valdivia, by Las Truchas, the Oncol cafeteria, Pililín, Quitaqui, Casa Manns, El Canelo, Potreros, Espacio Bayo and El Castaño.
The Oncol 65K (65 km, 2,600 m) starts at 3 a.m. and crosses rocky trails, flooded meadows and streams by Las Truchas, Oncol, Potreros, Espacio Bayo and El Castaño. From 2027 the Pilolcura 100K is a Western States 100 qualifier.
Course
In 2027 the 100K starts on the Thursday night and the 65K early on the Friday; in 2026 the 100K started on the Saturday night. The weekend's Llancahue 45K and its shorter races are below ultra distance.
How to register
Entry for 2027 is open, first come, first served in priced tiers, with no lottery. The 100K and the 65K ask for a valid UTMB Index and a medical certificate. Opening and closing dates aren't published.
