About
The La Sportiva Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB starts at 11:00 PM in the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo and sends around 1,500 runners into the Dolomites for 120 kilometers and 5,800 meters of climbing beneath some of the most recognizable rock towers in the Alps, including the Tre Cime di Lavaredo that give the race its name. The late-June date and the scenery make it one of Europe's most in-demand mountain ultras.
The event is part of the UTMB World Series, and race week also carries an 80K, 50K, 20K, and 10K, putting several thousand runners on the trails around Cortina.
Course
A loop from Cortina d'Ampezzo through the Dolomites with 120 kilometers and about 5,800 meters of positive gain, starting at 11:00 PM Friday so the field crosses the high country in daylight.
How to register
Registration opens through UTMB and demand exceeds capacity; finishing earns Running Stones for the UTMB World Series Finals lottery, and podium finishers qualify directly for the Finals.
