About
Tenerife Bluetrail by UTMB crosses the island of Tenerife from its south coast to its north. The 110K starts on the beach at Los Cristianos at 11 p.m. on the Friday, climbs through Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to 3,555 m, and finishes beside the sea in Puerto de la Cruz. It covers 110 km with 6,250 m of climbing inside 27 hours, over volcanic rock, lava fields and cones, and down through pine and laurel forest.
The 82K, which replaced the old 73K in 2027, starts at the church of San Pedro in Vilaflor and follows the Camino Real de Chasna past the Paisaje Lunar. The 68K, new for 2027, starts in La Esperanza and follows the GR 131. Every race finishes in Puerto de la Cruz. The 2026 edition was cancelled, and the 110K counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
Course
The 110K has checkpoint cutoffs at Chayofa, Ifonche, Vilaflor, Madre del Agua, the Parador, Teide-La Rambleta, Portillo Alto, Picachos, Base del Asomadero and Tigaiga, and its finish closes at 2 a.m. Sunday. The 82K's 18 hours and the 68K's 16 hours both run out at midnight. Metal-tipped poles are banned in Teide National Park on the 110K and 82K, and on the 110K all poles are banned at Roques de García. The weekend's 47K, 47K relay, 24K and vertical kilometre are shorter than an ultra.
How to register
Registration for 2027 opened on June 8, 2026 for runners entered in the cancelled 2026 edition, then on June 17 for UTMB Index holders and on June 19 for everyone, by direct purchase with no draw. It stays open until March 10, 2027 or until places run out. The 110K needs a valid UTMB Index in the 100K or 100M category. No entry can be transferred to another runner, and refunds depend on the optional cancellation insurance.
