About

Hiroshima Ultra-Trail by UTMB joins the World Series in April 2027 with its first edition, built on the Hiroshima Wangan Trail, a 293.8 km loop around the city. The 100K starts at Hiroshima Gate Park at 5 a.m. on the Saturday and follows the Ota River out through the edge of the city before it reaches the trail. It passes a shrine carved into the rock of a sacred waterfall, climbs to almost 900 m on Mt. Shiraki, and keeps dipping and climbing to its hardest section on Mt. Abu.

The finish comes back along the Peace Line in the shadow of the A-Bomb Dome. The race covers 95 km with 5,600 m of climbing and a 29-hour limit.

Course

Starts go in waves between 5:00 and 5:30 a.m. The race states a 29-hour limit and prints the last finish two ways: 11 a.m. Sunday in its race details, and 10:30 a.m. on its time chart and in its event schedule. The weekend's 50K is 49 km on the race page, and its 25K is shorter again, so neither is an ultra here. An earlier event, Hiroshima Trail, ran a 109.5 km course on April 11, 2026 under the same UTMB race number.

How to register
