Forgotten Florida

Forgotten Florida runs east of Orlando, through Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch and the Little Big Econ State Forest. The organiser's pitch is that this is country even locals have not walked: palm groves, pine flatwoods and rarely travelled singletrack, and it insists the course is not the swamp run people expect.

The 100 miler and the 50 miler start together at 6:30 on the Saturday morning at Shane Kelly Park in Oviedo and run back to Tosohatchee, the 50 finishing there and the 100 adding a 25-mile out and back with crew access for its final fifty. A 15 miler and an 8 miler go the next morning. The 100 has 34 hours and the 50 has 16. Entry is straight sign-up on UltraSignup.

The weekend began in 2021 as a 45 miler; the 100 first ran in 2022. The race is put on by Run Bum Tours, which donates a share of the proceeds to the Florida Trail Association.

The 100 and the 50 are point to point, from Shane Kelly Park in Oviedo back to the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area on Taylor Creek Road, and the 50-mile course is the first fifty miles of the 100. Both are about 80 percent trail with two miles of pavement. The organiser's own aid charts put the 100 at 98.85 miles, a figure that includes a one-mile shuttle across Highway 50 to the fifty-mile turnaround, and the 50 at 49.60; it says plainly that "All mileage is 'ish'". It publishes no elevation figure for any distance and describes the course as 100 percent flat, telling runners to plan walking breaks from the start. Cut-off times are the times a runner must have left each aid station by, not arrived at.

Entry is first-come sign-up on UltraSignup, with no lottery, no application and no qualifying standard. The 2027 window opened on February 9, 2026 and closes on January 29, 2027, and the 2027 prices are $295 for the 100 miler and $215 for the 50. The organiser publishes no field cap: UltraSignup shows the number of places left rather than the size of the field, and the entrant list is hidden. A waitlist appears on UltraSignup only where one has been enabled, and none is.
