How it went

Johan Van der Merwe won the 2025 Trailway 50K in 4:05:48, and Nancy Gutierrez won the women's race in 6:06:42. Van der Merwe finished more than forty minutes clear of Justin Harder, with Adam Miller third, and his time is faster than either winning time the race had recorded before. Gutierrez came home ninth overall, ahead of Rustie Johnson and Laura Owens.

The last finisher crossed at 9:33:52, half an hour inside the 5:00 p.m. course closure.
