The Bear 100 2026
Friday, September 25, 2026 · Completed
New finish for 2026: the race ends at Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, Utah, not in Fish Haven, Idaho, after the old finish venue on Bear Lake became unavailable. About a quarter of the course changed. After Beaver Mountain the route heads south through Peter Sinks and Burnt Fork, and the race says the climbing is about 350 feet less than before.

How it went
Sidney Noble won the 2026 Bear 100 in 17:39:23, leading from the first aid station at Logan Peak, mile 10, all the way to the new finish line in Garden City. Mike McMonagle was second in 18:25:27, 46 minutes back, and Eli White third in 19:39:04.
Kristin Johnson won the women's race in 18:50:37 and was third across the line overall, with only Noble and McMonagle ahead of her. The race now lists her time as the women's course record, 1:35 faster than the 20:25:49 Careth Arnold ran in 2024 on the old route to Fish Haven. Johnson took the women's lead by Upper Richards at mile 28.5 and stretched it at every aid station after that. Anna Fisher was second in 20:20:07 and Maria Guy, who led the women at Leatham Hollow, mile 20, was third in 22:14:14.
It was the first Bear to finish at Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, Utah, rather than in Fish Haven, Idaho. The route leaves the old course after Beaver Mountain and runs south through Peter Sinks and Burnt Fork. The course closed at 36 hours, 6 p.m. Saturday, and finishers were still arriving in Garden City minutes before it. In all, 254 runners finished.
