A point-to-point 100 from Logan, Utah over the Bear River Range to Bear Lake, run each late September since 1999 with more than 20,000 feet of climb. Since 2026 it finishes in Garden City, Utah.

New finish for 2026: the race ends at Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, Utah, not in Fish Haven, Idaho, after the old finish venue on Bear Lake became unavailable. About a quarter of the course changed. After Beaver Mountain the route heads south through Peter Sinks and Burnt Fork, and the race says the climbing is about 350 feet less than before.

About
The Bear 100 runs point to point from the east bench of Logan, Utah over the Bear River Range to the shore of Bear Lake. Since 2026 the finish is at Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, Utah. Through 2025 the race crossed the state line and finished seven miles farther north in Fish Haven, Idaho. The race lists 20,321 feet of climb between 4,853 and 8,865 feet of elevation, and says the Garden City route has about 350 feet less. It's timed for late September, when the aspens and maples turn. Its motto is 36 hours of Indian summer, which is also the cutoff.
First run in 1999, the race starts at 6:00 a.m. at Hyrum Gibbons/Mount Logan Park on a Friday in late September. Entry moved to a lottery starting with the 2026 race, with qualifying standards, and a finish counts as a Western States 100 qualifier.
Course
Point to point from Hyrum Gibbons/Mount Logan Park in Logan, Utah to Conestoga Ranch in Garden City, Utah, at Bear Lake, with a 36-hour cutoff. The first 75 miles or so are the long-standing course. After the Beaver Mountain aid station the route now turns south on the Stump Hollow singletrack to Peter Sinks and Burnt Fork, then drops down a rough dirt road into Garden City. The race lists 20,321 feet of climb between 4,853 and 8,865 feet and says the new route has about 350 feet less, with ten miles of double-track swapped for single-track.
How to register
Entry is by lottery from 2026 on. Qualify within the four-year window with an official 50-miler under 16 hours, any official 100K or longer finish under its cutoff, or the Tushar 70K, then enter the winter draw: 300 lottery spots, with veterans earning extra tickets, plus 50 reserved entries. The 2027 lottery dates are not yet announced.
