The 2026 course is 101 miles, 1.9 shorter than the 102.9 run from 2022 to 2025: with the Baptism River High Falls bridge replaced, the Tettegouche aid station returns to its original location. The 50 mile is 51.3 this year against the 51.7 its own page still advertises. The Onion River bridge has been removed, so all distances cross the river on foot near mile 93 of the 100 and mile 43 of the 50.

Tyler Morey won the 2026 Superior 100 in 19:54:12, reaching the finish in Lutsen just before 4 a.m. on Saturday, 2:15:15 ahead of Tyler Kobilarcsik, with John Vallez third in 22:21:40. Jessie Diggins won the women's race in 25:09:45, fifth overall, with Andrea Patten second in 26:05:28 and Kelby Land third in 27:39:00. Anna Grace Tiede Hottinger won the non-binary division in 27:11:37, which the race lists as its non-binary course record.
151 of the 256 starters finished, 59 percent. Matt Long finished at 70, and the race says nobody older than 67 had finished the 100 before.
