Superior Fall Trail Race 2025

Jakob Wartman of Duluth won the 2025 Superior 100 in 20:13:02, and Rachel Turi won the women’s race in 25:36:15 for 16th overall. Tyler Morey won the 50 in 7:46:52, which the race says took 25 minutes off its course record, and Michelle SanCartier won the women’s 50 in 10:50:54.

The 100 ran a different opening that year. A trail rehabilitation project closed the Split Rock Loop, so the race used cross-country ski trails and a stretch of snowmobile trail out of Gooseberry Falls State Park to reach the Superior Hiking Trail at Skunk Creek, and the course came out about a mile short of its usual 102.9. The organiser noted at the time that the loop and that link cannot both be used in one year without pushing the race towards 107 miles; the 2026 participant guide has since gone back to 102.9 with Split Rock at mile 8.5.

Both races ran to the wire. The last 100-mile finisher came in at 37:55:11 against a 38-hour cutoff, and the last 50-mile finisher at 16:38:19 against 16 hours 45 minutes.
