About
The Pinhoti 100 runs point to point along Alabama's Pinhoti Trail, starting at Pine Glen Campground in the Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area northeast of Heflin and finishing at the Sylaward trailhead on Lake Howard in Sylacauga. The race states 100.38 miles and just over 14,000 feet of climbing, and it crosses the shoulder of Mount Cheaha, the highest point in the state, at around mile 43. Runners get 32 hours, and there are eighteen aid stations with a published cut-off at almost every one.
The 2026 edition, the nineteenth, starts at 6:00 a.m. Central on Saturday, November 7 and closes at 2:00 p.m. on the Sunday. Entry is straight sign-up on UltraSignup with no lottery and no qualifying race, and it closes on October 17. A finish is a Western States 100 qualifier. The organiser also runs the Mount Cheaha 50K, the Oak Mountain 50K, the Rockin Choccolocco 50K and the Rebecca Mountain 50 Miler.
