About
The Javelina Jundred bills itself as the original costumed 100-mile trail run party: five washing-machine loops of the rolling Pemberton Trail in McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona, every Halloween weekend, with a start-finish festival at Javelina Jeadquarters that runs all night. The course is fast (about 6,300 feet of total gain), the costumes are mandatory in spirit, and the atmosphere draws one of the biggest 100-mile fields in the country.
It is also serious racing: a Western States Golden Ticket race, with automatic Western States entries for the top finishers, and both course records fell in 2025 (12:10:12 and 13:31:47). A 100K and the nighttime Jackass 31K share the weekend.
Course
Five loops (alternating direction each loop) of an approximately 20-mile singletrack circuit, mostly on the Pemberton Trail, between 1,623 and 2,486 feet of elevation. About 6,296 feet of total gain and a 30-hour limit; a two-wave start at 6:00 and 6:30 AM.
How to register
Registration is first come, first served on UltraSignup with a 1,000-runner limit in the 100 Mile, and the race fills; a waitlist follows. Finishing under 30 hours qualifies for the Western States lottery, and the top two men and women earn Golden Ticket entries, with roll-down to fifth place.
