Tor des Géants 2026 Results: Jiaju Zhao and Katharina Hartmuth Set Records

Jiaju Zhao of China won the 2026 Tor des Géants in 65:55:22, a course record, reaching Courmayeur at 3:55 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16. Katharina Hartmuth of Germany won the women's race in 67:10:09 and finished third overall, which no woman had done before in the race's history.

The TOR330 started from Courmayeur on Sunday morning in two waves, at 10:00 and 12:00, and its 150-hour limit runs until 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 19. By Wednesday evening 15 runners had finished, 307 had left the course and 795 were still out.

Schindler finished 59 minutes and 44 seconds behind Zhao, at 4:55 a.m. Zhang came in just before 10 a.m. He was fourth across the line, since Hartmuth had finished ahead of him. Galen Reynolds of Canada was the fourth man, in 72:53:23.

Is 65:55:22 the Tor des Géants course record?

Yes. The organiser calls it the new record. The old one was Richard Victor's 66:08:22 from 2025, so Zhao took 13 minutes off it. Victor's run had itself broken Franco Collé's 2023 record by 36 minutes.

Who won the women's race?

Katharina Hartmuth, in 67:10:09. She won the Tor in 2024 too, in a women's record of 79:10, and she took twelve hours off it this year. She finished at 5:10 a.m. on Wednesday, 15 minutes after Schindler and 1 hour 14 minutes and 47 seconds after Zhao.

According to the organiser, she is the first woman to finish on the overall podium of the TOR330 and the first to go under 70 hours, and her time is the sixth fastest anyone has run on the course.

Zhang finished 14th overall on Wednesday afternoon, and Vilaseca came in just under two hours later.

The race publishes 330 kilometers and 24,000 meters of climbing, one loop of the Aosta Valley on the Alta Via 1 and 2. Its timing platform measures this year's course at 336.1 kilometers from the start in Courmayeur to the finish. The organiser published no change to the TOR330 route during the race.
