Winter Downs 100 2025

Harry Pickering won the second Winter Downs 100 in 17:19:17, and Natalie Utting won the women's race in 18:09:04, a course record and third across the line. Nathan Hutton was second man in 17:39:06 and Andrew Harrower third in 19:00:12; Sophie Power followed Utting in 19:38:47 with Laura Swanton-Rouvelin third woman in 20:30:37.

Hutton led out with the men's course-record holder Geoff Cheshire, who stopped at halfway. Pickering closed the gap through the night and went past at Newlands Corner, the last crew point, with 15 miles left, and said afterwards that he really suffered doing it. The 2:00 p.m. start puts almost 16 hours of darkness in front of the field from the gun.

Conditions were the driest and least muddy the course has had. 73 of the 88 starters finished inside the 35-hour cutoff, a completion rate Centurion Running puts at 83 percent and calls almost unheard of in 100-mile racing.
