About
Ultra-Trail Xiamen by UTMB starts and finishes at Fantian Cultural Square in Xiamen, on China's Fujian coast, in mid-March. War Horse was its title partner in 2026. The LXM 100K is the long race: 96.4 km with 5,154 m of climbing, starting at 6 a.m. on the Saturday with a 29-hour limit. The MXM 50K covers 53 km with 2,460 m of climbing from 7:30 the same morning and has 16 hours.
The 2026 100K men's race ended in a dead heat: Jiaju Zhao and Ionel Cristian Manole finished together in 9:52:25, and 307 of 346 starters made it home. The organiser has not yet dated a 2027 edition.
Course
Both ultras start and finish at Fantian Cultural Square. The LXM 100K starts at 6 a.m. Saturday and closes at 11 a.m. Sunday; the MXM 50K starts at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and closes at 11:30 p.m. the same day. UTMB Live gives the courses as 97 km and 51 km. The weekend's 20K, run on the Sunday, is 28.9 km.
How to register
For 2026, UTMB Index holders could register from December 24, 2025 and everyone else from December 26, with pre-registration closing on February 8. The registration page heads that section "Lottery Process" but gives no draw date. Runners had to be 18 to 63 and send a medical report with a blood pressure reading and an ECG.
