About

TransLantau by UTMB runs over the mountains of Lantau Island, Hong Kong, in mid-November, starting and finishing in Mui Wo. Its one ultra, the TransLantau100, leaves at 7:30 p.m. on the Friday and covers 104 km with 4,500 m of climbing on a 27-hour limit. The weekend's other races are 45 km and shorter.

Entry is a direct sale on the race's site with no lottery. It opens in April with 48 hours for UTMB Index holders and then stays open until the places are gone; in September 2026 the TransLantau100 was still on sale and the shorter races were full. The 2025 edition ran a 116 km, a 79 km and a 52 km instead.

Course

The TransLantau100 starts from Mui Wo at 7:30 p.m. Friday on a 27-hour limit, and the last timed cutoff on the course is Discovery Bay at 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The race's 50 is 45 km for 2026, down from 52 km in 2025.

How to register

A direct sale on the race's site, with no pre-registration or lottery. UTMB Index holders get the first 48 hours from the April opening, and entry is then open to all until the places are gone. In September 2026 the TransLantau100 was still on sale and the three shorter races were full.
