Construction at Pennyfield Lock has changed the 2026 course. The Pennyfield aid station and its drop bags move to Blockhouse Point at mile 23, with the same 12:30 cutoff, and from there the race takes the Blockhouse and Springhouse trails to Violette's Lock and the canal, so runners see less of the canal than usual.
