How it went
Eric Thompson won the 50 mile in 7:50:55, four and a half minutes clear of Matthew Seidel, and was back on a start line the next morning: he ran the 50 km in just under 5 hours 50 and took the 50/50 as well, in a combined 13:40:57. He was third here last year in 8:19:16.
Liz MacDonald won the women's 50 mile in 8:56:41 and was thirteenth overall, ahead of Jennie Labrie and Laura O'Driscoll. Labrie doubled too, and won the women's 50/50 in 15:57:28, her second in a row and sixteen minutes quicker than the one before it.
Alexandre Campbell, who won the 50 mile here in 2025, came back for the 50 km instead and broke the course record in 4:29:38, three minutes and twenty-two seconds inside Alexandre Ricard's mark from 2024. He already held the 50/50 record. Jade Belzberg won the women's 50 km for the third year running, third overall in 5:11:19, two minutes and twenty seconds off the record she set here herself last year.
The Sunday race closed at 5:45 p.m. and Josh Schweigert was the last runner in, across the line with less than three seconds to spare.
