About
The Ouray 100 Mile Endurance Run is a low-key, no-frills ultra in the San Juan Mountains, starting and finishing at Fellin Park beside the Ouray Hot Springs. It packs 41,862 feet of vertical gain into fourteen marked climbs on trails and old mining roads above town, which makes it one of the steepest 100-milers anywhere.
The course visits Camp Bird Road, Imogene Pass, Fort Peabody, Bridge of Heaven, and the Perimeter Trail, with a 52-hour cutoff. A 50-mile race runs alongside it. Winning times near 29 hours reflect the terrain more than the field.

How to register
Entry is through UltraSignup and requires a volunteer service commitment before race day. There is also a 50-mile option. The field is small, and runners carry a race-issued satellite tracker.
