About
The Crazy Mountain 100 crosses the Crazy Mountains, an isolated island range rising off the Montana plains northeast of Bozeman. The point-to-point course runs from the Westling Ranch outside Wilsall to the Berg Ranch at Lennep, mostly on singletrack, with 23,000 feet of climbing and a high point above 10,200 feet. The race bills itself as an inclusive event open to any runner willing to take it on.
The 100 starts at 6:00 a.m. on a Friday and holds a 36-hour cutoff, closing the finish at 6:00 p.m. Saturday. A finish counts toward both a Western States 100 qualifier and a Hardrock 100 qualifier. Entry is drawn by lottery.
Course
Point-to-point across the Crazy Mountains from the Westling Ranch (Wilsall) to the Berg Ranch (Lennep), mostly singletrack: 100 miles, about 23,000 feet of climbing, topping out above 10,200 feet. The 100 starts at 6:00 a.m. Friday with a 36-hour cutoff.
