About
Chihuahua by UTMB runs through the Copper Canyon country of the Sierra Tarahumara in Chihuahua, Mexico, and every race finishes at the Copper Canyon Adventure Park in Divisadero. The Rarámuri leaves the main square in Cerocahui at 6 a.m. on the Friday and covers 118 km with 5,600 m of climbing on a 30-hour limit. The Weriga 93K starts beside it over 93 km, and the Akáa 58K goes an hour earlier from Divisadero itself.
The Rarámuri is still billed as a 100-miler, and in 2025 it ran 156 km from Batopilas. The 2026 edition has a new, shorter route from Cerocahui. Entries are sold directly on the race's site, with one link for Mexican runners and another for everyone else.
Course
The Rarámuri (118 km, 5,600 m) and the Weriga (93 km, 4,700 m) start together from the main square in Cerocahui at 6 a.m. Friday, and the Akáa (58 km, 2,500 m) from Divisadero at 5 a.m. All three finish at the Copper Canyon Adventure Park in Divisadero. The Akáa closes at 6:30 p.m. Friday, the Weriga at 4 a.m. Saturday and the Rarámuri at noon Saturday. In 2025 the long race started in Batopilas and ran 156 km, the middle race was 94 km and the short one 59 km.
How to register
Entries are sold directly on the race's site, and 2026 registration opened on February 11, 2026. Mexican residents register through a link priced in pesos and international runners through one priced in dollars. Entries for 2026 are still open.
