About

HOKA Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB spreads a dozen races over two weekends in the mountains around Chiang Mai, from late November into December. The Chiang Dao 160 leaves Wat Tham Chiang Dao at 10 a.m. on the second Friday and covers 173 km with 9,800 m of climbing on a 48-hour limit, finishing at the PAO Park in the city. The Elephant 100 starts two hours earlier from Wat Nhong Bua Noi over 100 km. The Pagoda 50 on Doi Inthanon (57 km) and the Hmong 50 from PAO Park (63 km) each run twice, once from the morning and once from the evening.

Entry is a direct sale on the race's site with no lottery and no waiting list. It opens in July with 48 hours for UTMB Index holders and stays open until October 31, or until a race fills.
