How it went
Aaron Kubala won the 2026 Bigfoot 200 in 47:21:11. He had already taken the Tahoe 200 earlier in the summer, and a Moab 240 finish in October would complete the Triple Crown of 200 Milers.
Brody Chisholm was second in 53:36:41, repeating the runner-up place he took here in 2025 at 19 years old. Josh Coleman was third in 57:19:04, his first podium at the race after previous top-ten finishes, and he is chasing the same Triple Crown as Kubala.
Aimee Warnke won the women's race in 61:18:35, finishing in the dark early on Monday, four hours behind the last man on the podium. The San Antonio runner was followed home by Elle Jones in 65:39:09 and by Jessica Schiller in 68:33:10.
Ashley Paulson, who won here in 2025 in 57:00:08, came in on Monday morning. The race ran all the way to its 11 p.m. cutoff on Tuesday night. Timothy Smith was the last finisher in 106:29:50, home at the track in Randle with just over half an hour to spare, and 187 runners finished in all.
Destination Trail called it an unusually cool edition, with rain, low clouds and monsoon-level storms rolling through the first two days.
