About

The Angeles Crest 100 has run through the San Gabriel Mountains above Los Angeles since 1986, historically point-to-point from Wrightwood to Altadena. The course mixes high pine ridgelines with hot, exposed canyon miles surprisingly close to the city.

For 2026, long-term closures on Highway 2 forced a full course change: the 36th running starts and finishes in Altadena.

Course

Full course change for 2026: with Highway 2 closed long-term, the race starts and finishes in Altadena on a new San Gabriels route. The race is still finalizing course details.

How to register

Entry is by lottery, alongside a Sterling Silver Ticket series of races that award guaranteed spots. Every entrant must complete eight hours of trail maintenance before race day.
