Go One More Ultra 2027: Lottery Dates, Entry Fee and How to Apply

The lottery for the 2027 Go One More Ultra, Bare Performance Nutrition's backyard ultra on Nick Bare's ranch in Texas, opens at 12:00 p.m. Central time on Monday, October 19, 2026, and closes at 11:59 p.m. Central on Friday, October 23. The race itself is on May 21, 2027, and there are 150 places.

When is the Go One More Ultra 2027 lottery?

You can enter from noon Central on October 19 until 11:59 p.m. Central on October 23, 2026. That's five days, and when you enter during them makes no difference: BPN says selection doesn't depend on signup order. The draw is random, so entering doesn't guarantee you a place.

Selections are announced on October 28 on BPN's YouTube channel. Every entrant gets an email the same day saying whether they were picked. For the draw and any later race news, Marathon Scout's Go One More Ultra page sends email alerts when something new is published.

How do you enter?

You enter the lottery on Race Roster, where you'll need to sign in or create an account. BPN's own Go One More Ultra page has the race details and FAQ. Everyone enters for themselves. You can't enter on someone else's behalf.

How much does it cost?

Entry is $225 plus taxes and fees. You need a card to complete the lottery registration, but it's only charged if you're selected, and then automatically, on announcement day. There are no refunds, no deferrals to a later year and no bib transfers, so a place you win and can't use is gone.

What is the race?

It's a backyard ultra. Every hour, on the hour, runners start a 4.167-mile loop on Bare Ranch, and anyone who doesn't finish it inside the hour, or doesn't start the next one, is out. There's no set distance and no finish line: the race ends when one runner is left. There are no spectators and no pacers. BPN says the race will have 24-hour coverage by Mountain Outpost.

Who has won it?

Mark Dowdle won the 2026 race with 73 yards, about 304 miles over four days. In 2025, Kendall Picado Fallas and Kim Gottwald shared the win at 56 yards after a thunderstorm stopped the race shortly into the 57th hour.

Dowdle has kept going since. He won the Last Soul Ultra in Germany in August with 94 yards, and he's on the United States team at the 2026 Backyard Ultra World Team Championship.
